I love seeing British registered cars over on the Continent. It’s common now of course but back in the fifties and sixties not so much. Here we have a British registered Ford Zodiac Mk2 Convertible in Tihany. What an adventure they must have had. Here they are parked up outside the Benedictine Monastery on the Tihany peninsula which divides Lake Balaton in two.
The Zodiac was the more luxurious variant of the Zephyr and this one was someone’s pride and joy no doubt. It had a leather interior, column shift gear change and electric roof, but there was still room for some rather nice optional extras like the twin reversing lights, twin aerials and chrome luggage rack. I wonder what happened to 784 LOB.
