A Dauphine at Marble Arch.

I dedicate this card to  Erik Verhaest (of PostCARds fame) as I think he’d like the little red Renault amongst all those English cars in front of the Cumberland Hotel in London.

The message on the back of this card is really remarkable. Written in tiny letters and being very long and very personal it’s from Beatrice to her boyfriend Edgar at the ‘Night & Day Garage’ in Malta in 1968 and she was sending him a postcard a day.  I wonder what became of them.

  1. See also the grey and red Armstrong Siddeley, a Star Sapphire i think.

  2. The doors open in different directions. I now think it is a Sapphire 346.
