Burnt in Bern

Morris Minor in Berne

Another clock tower. Just as weird as the Margate one I think. But what we’re looking at is that almond green Morris Minor convertible with its English registration plate. I wonder whether he got a sunburnt head.

  1. Quite a trip, Southport (FY reg.) to Bern in a Morris Minor! But: reliable car, everything at ease, and all the time in the world. Sunburnt driver? Maybe. But I add an even more important question: what are those two white cars?
The easy one is the very Italian-styled 1958 Fiat 1100 on the right.
Many details of the mysterious vehicle in front of the Morris tell me it must be a 1955 Studebaker President coupe. Lacking a substantial passenger car industry, Switzerland imported motors from many countries. So: an appropriate one, that (rather expensive!) American beauty.
